Precision Demolition will first isolate the area to be demolished with danger
tape. This is done to assure no unauthorized personnel enter the area to be demolished. -
Step 2: The roof separation from the existing building will be done by hand using small tools such as but not limited to: (mp saws, sawzalls, hammers, crow bars chisels, etc.). The existing roof will be saw-cut along the separation line and peeled
back approx. 4’ to expose the bar joists. PD employees will be tied into structural members using harness and lanyards to be in compliance with OSHA fall protection guidelines. -
Step 3: The joist will be cut back approximately 4ft. to protect the existing building. A PD torch operator will cut the joist back. This PD employee will be in a harness and lanyard tied off to the structure at all times. This procedure will continue until
the all joists and steel have been cut back from the building to remain approximately 4ft. -
Step 4: The concrete slab and 2nd floor concrete decks will be separated using a floor saw. This separation will be approximately 2ft. wide to assure Precision Demolition will first isolate the area to be demolished with danger tape. This is done to assure no unauthorized personnel enter the area to be
demolished. -
Step 5: Excavators with grapple buckets will start wrecking the building. As the excavators work their way into the building footprint, water will be utilized to
control dust. All operators will be certified and have approved operator cards.
